Earlier today, Donald Trump gave a commencement speech to the Coast Guard Academy, and pretty much solidified the fact that he should never be trusted to speak to America’s graduates ever again.
Trump was trusted with the task of inspiring these graduates, and as usual he went in the completely opposite direction. During his speech, Trump completely derailed and went off on a rant about… himself. Instead of delivering a speech that would bestow wisdom and inspiration upon the graduates, Trump decided to educate the graduates about how unfairly he was treated, and whine about how no one in political history has ever been treated worse than he has been.
Trump began with some complaining about the media as he said:
“Over the course of your life, you will find that things are not always fair. You will find that things happen to you that you do not deserve and are not always warranted, but you have to put your head down and fight, fight, fight.”
And then, this ridiculous bombshell followed:
“Look at the way I’ve been treated lately, especially by the media. No politician in history… has been treated worse or more unfairly.”

Trump’s behavior was just as appalling as it was inaccurate. It was disgusting that the President of the United States would think it was appropriate to air out his petty grievances during a speech to a military academy, and even more baffling to think that he was being treated worse than other presidents, some of which have actually been assassinated.
Let’s just say Twitter didn’t fail to put Trump in his place:
And then of course, there’s this:
