The racist elf that likes to call himself America’s Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, seems to be the latest person in Donald Trump’s orbit to realize just how serious the situation regarding the Russia collusion investigation is. NBC is reporting that a Washington lawyer, Chuck Cooper, is now representing Sessions to help give him a firewall in the Russia probe. NBC says that they got the confirmation of this news from Cooper himself:

It is also worth it to note that Sessions sought Cooper’s help when it came to his recent testimony before the Senate. Of course, we all remember how that went. Sessions repeatedly either stonewalled the people questioning him, or pretended to have amnesia on all things related to his shady meetings with the Russians. He was also rattled by tough Senators like Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Angus King (I-ME). Finally, Sessions grew indignant at the whole situation, and practically screamed at the Senators:
“I was your colleague in this body for 20 years, and the suggestion that I participated in any collusion, that I was aware of any collusion with the Russian government to hurt this country that I have served with honor for 35 years, to undermine the integrity of our democratic process, is an appalling and detestable lie.”
It’s not necessarily a lie, Mr. Sessions. What happened with the Russia situation during the 2016 campaign remains to be seen. That’s what investigations are for. You and many others in Trump World did a lot of questionable things when it came to communicating with the Russians, and we, the American people, will reserve judgement until Special Counsel Mueller and the House and Senate committees investigating this attack on the very soul of our democracy finish their work. At any rate, you must be afraid of something, or else you and everyone else around Trump wouldn’t be lawyering up so fast.
In the meantime – resign. You are not fit to be the top law enforcement officer of this great nation.
