Today is Donald Trump’s 200th day in office, and he has very little to show for it besides hundreds of tweets and multiple failures. It is an understatement to say that Americans are feeling the consequences of having a complete imbecile in the White House. According to a new poll from CNN, Trump’s horrendous ‘leadership’ (if it can even be called that) is having a devastating impact on the country.
This new poll reveals two bombshells: not only are Trump’s numbers continuing to get worse, but Trump is creating an unhealthy amount of distrust in Americans. The poll states that only 38% of Americans are happy with the Trump administration’s performance, and 56% disapprove. In fact, 47% of Americans said they strongly disapprove, and are fed up with Trump.
This isn’t surprising at all, considering that even the more conservative, biased polls are now reporting that Trump’s approval rating is dangerously low. But the more concerning part of the poll lies in the amount of distrust Trump has created in government. When the poll asked participants if they believe the White House is telling the truth, almost three quarters (73%) of Americans said the White House was untruthful. The fact that only 24% of Americans are now willing to believe their government after enduring months of Trump’s lies is horrifying, and it’s only going to get worse. It’s a very sad day when official statements and presidential announcements coming from the White House cannot be trusted by Americans.
The poll revealed further bad news for Trump – 59% of Americans believe that Trump’s presidency is a failure, and 55% believe that he has lowered the stature of the office. Even amongst Republicans, there has been a 14% decrease in those willing to say they strongly support him.
Trump’s presidency is crashing and burning, which is exactly what he deserves. Unfortunately, he is taking the rest of America down with him. You can watch the report on these findings below:
